Why PreCV?
Hello, my name is Alana, and I am the founder of PreCV.
PreCV was born from my personal observation- there are so many opportunities around us- yet they are not enough to gain real career focused experiences from.
That's where the name came from- Before the CV.
But what is a "CV"?
CV is a curriculum vitae, which is is a detailed, written document that summarizes your educational background, work experience, skills, and achievements.
Now a majority of universities and jobs skim through CV's, choosing the ones who have the needed experience for that specific position and role.
But when are we supposed to get that experience by our 20's, when most regions only employ from the age of 18, with the job variety being between cashiers and waiters?
That's exactly why I created PreCV- To get the experience in our "early ages", before it is expected from us within our CV.
PreCV is not just a school project to me. It is my personal initiative that I will continue growing, until it fully blooms- and I can only do that with other students just as motivated, to participate and contribute into this platform.
